The Social Junction NSW, in collaboration with Kenya Community NSW and African Professionals Australia (APA), was privileged to have an introductory meeting with Hon. Nathan Hagarty, MP, the State Member for Leppington and Government Whip, for the formal presentation of the Ministerial Paper 2025.
The meeting served as a crucial platform to enhance collaboration between the Kenyan Australian community and the State Government, concentrating on mutual priorities and strategies for inclusion, empowerment, and progress.

Youth Empowerment & Employment: Emphasising the need for job creation, mentorship, and skills development opportunities for young people.
Mental Health & Wellbeing: Advocating for culturally responsive mental health services and community awareness programs.

Community Engagement & Representation: Encouraging stronger partnerships with government to ensure active participation in policymaking.

The discussion reflected a shared commitment to continuous dialogue and practical collaboration to advance the welfare of the Kenyan community in New South Wales.
